Here’s a question that we ask our customers all the time: “How many hours do you spend sitting in front of your computer each week?” Now imagine if some of that time were spent exercising instead of just sitting? You’d meet your fitness goals every week! Do your morning emails and your workout is done!

Founder and CEO of Dell Computers, Michael Dell, personally bought a SurfShelf for his mansion in Austin, and upon using it, bought another for his place in Hawaii. He then had the fitness centers at Dell equipped with SurfShelfs as well for all his employees to enjoy!

Get off your butt! Attach your Laptop to your Treadmill with the SurfShelf.

Reading on the treadmill

mysurfshelfI am an ebook junkie when it comes to internet marketing material.  A lot of what I buy I already know about, but I almost always learn at least a couple of new things in each ebook.  However, I am my own worst enemy.  Owning all those ebooks doesn’t do me a darn bit of good unless I read them.

I bought yet another ebook package this past weekend (with 84 files!) that I really, REALLY needed to read, but I’ve got so much other stuff to do online that I feel I’m wasting time if I sit and read.  So I made myself an ultimatum.  “Self, look at your butt.  It’s getting wider and wider each day you sit in front of that damn computer and it’s going to keep getting wider unless you do something about it.  Now go put your laptop on your SurfShelf and burn some fat while you make a dent in all those ebook files.”

So I read and walked and wouldn’t you know it, it was another one of those times when I learned three new things from what I read this morning.  Also, since the SurfShelf hid the control panel while the laptop was opened, I wasn’t constantly staring at the timer.  When I finished I had walked 33 minutes.  That’s eight more minutes than what I normally walk outside.  Plus, I increased the incline on the treadmill so it was an even better workout.

That wasn’t so hard.  Just like anything in life, you have to make a decision to really want to do it.

SurfShelf Coupon Expiring Soon

couponThe Surf Shelf is already a great deal at $39.95.  You can save another $5 with the SurfShelf Coupon Code, but you have to hurry because July 31, 2009 is the last day to use it.

When the heat’s on during the summer, I find myself cocooned in the house.  Workouts in the garage got too hot so I pulled the treadmill inside and strapped on a SurfShelf.  I use the treadmill every morning while it’s still cool and before my shower.  Walking every day alleviates the guilt trip I get from sitting in front of the computer all day.  It’s sort of like making your bed each morning.  It sets the tone for the rest of the day.
